Ginga Hyouryuu Vifam

The anime Ginga Hyouryuu Vifam takes place in the year 2058 on the planet Clayad, part of the Ypserlon system 43 light years from Earth. When aliens invade Clayad, its human settlers are forced to evacuate, resulting in children being separated from their families. The 13 children are taken aboard the training space ship, Janous, and manage to reach the planet Belwick, where they find a war already in progress. They then continue on to Earth.
