The Muramasa anime follows a wandering samurai who discovers a powerful, magically-imbued sword lodged in a straw dummy. As he wields the blade, the samurai begins to lose his grip on reality, forcing him to decide whether to prioritize his own identity or the promise of ultimate power. The sword's immense power comes with a terrible cost: the samurai's own sanity.
