One Step Toward Freedom

One Step Toward Freedom is set in a vast multiverse where various life forms coexist with different cultures and spiritual beliefs. The concept of Taoism, which emphasizes the pursuit of enlightenment through Dao practice, is shared among many of these life forms. However, achieving Tao is extremely rare, and those who possess it are often subject to the rule of powerful entities known as masters who harvest the Tao and destroy entire worlds. The story follows Ye Yu, a young Taoist who seeks to uncover the truth and confront the master who has been harvesting the Tao for centuries.
