The Empire of Light's collapse on the Battlefield of the Blue River two hundred years ago led to a chaotic power vacuum in the Western River region. Without a central authority, factions like House Zichuan emerged, fighting to reunite the land. Established in the south-east, House Zichuan has survived for over two centuries by fending off demonic invasions to the east and rival factions like House Liufeng to the west, while containing House Lin to the south.
