Patricia and Isabel O'Sullivan enroll at St. Claire, a women's college, to pursue their studies and live on campus. They quickly befriend Alison, Wella, Catherine, and Doris, who share their enthusiasm for school spirit and teamwork. The girls enjoy a harmonious life together, participating in various activities and games, until Winfred's arrival disrupts their dynamic with her aloof and confrontational behavior.
