Shima's life takes a dramatic turn when his late grandfather's picture falls into the ocean, prompting him to jump in after it. He's saved by a mysterious stranger, Isaki, who's a merman from the waist up. The encounter sparks a deep connection between Shima and Isaki, who both feel like outsiders in their own way.
