Tree in the Sun

Tree in the Sun is a historical drama set in mid-19th century Edo, based on the real-life stories of the creator's ancestors. The story follows Manjiro Ibutani, a low-ranking samurai and skilled swordsman, and Ryoan Tezuka, a young man with a passion for Western medicine. The two men from different backgrounds come of age during the tumultuous end of the Tokugawa Period, navigating their own ambitions and sense of justice.
