Yuuki Cross and Zero Kiryuu serve on the disciplinary committee at Cross Academy, where students from the Day Class and Night Class interact. The Night Class is comprised of vampires, a fact known only to the disciplinary committee. Yuuki's past encounter with Kaname Kuran, a Pureblood vampire, has complicated her feelings towards him, especially since he is now the leader of the Night Class. Zero, who harbors a deep-seated hatred of vampires, is hiding a secret from his own past that could disrupt the fragile balance between humans and vampires at the academy.
