Yamishibai: Japanese Ghost Stories 5 features the masked Storyteller returning to share more kamishibai-inspired tales of the supernatural and horror. His audience is now a group of young girls who gather to listen to his stories. The Storyteller tells tales about a range of characters, including a housewife plagued by ominous phone calls, a girl with an unsettling ability to predict the future through flower readings, a mother and daughter who encounter the unsettling "crow lady," and a young girl whose increasingly unreasonable demands leave a lasting impression.
