Belladonna of Sadness

Jeanne marries Jean and travels to the Lord's castle with a significant amount of money for his blessing, but the demonic Lord remains unmoved by their impoverished pleas. The Lord's wife offers an alternative, a ritual deflowering that leaves Jeanne scarred and unsympathized with by her husband. This rejection sparks a transformation in Jeanne, who's eventually comforted by a spirit that encourages her to seek revenge against her tormentors.
