Hiroshi Shiba's life was turned upside down when his father was assassinated for discovering the Bronze Bell, an artifact from the ancient Yamatai Kingdom. Queen Himika, who also hails from this era, is determined to possess the Bell and conquer Earth. Hiroshi's father left him with a set of items that allow him to transform into a powerful mecha warrior known as the Steel Jeeg, which he uses in conjunction with his father's brain computer and his friend Miwa "Micchi" Uzuki to thwart Himika's plans for global domination.
